Elizabeth Tsung is a violinist and composer based in NYC. With over two decades of musical prowess, Elizabeth's journey began at the age of 11 when she became the youngest member of the prestigious New York Youth Symphony. Hailing from Long Island, NY, she continued to shape her artistry, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Elizabeth's musical achievements are marked by her performance of Milhaud’s L’Orestie d’Eschyle, a rendition that earned a GRAMMY award nomination. Under the guidance of notable teachers such as Yehonatan Berick, Judith Ingolfsson, and Nurit Pacht, she has become a versatile multigenre violinist.
As an orchestral and chamber musician, Elizabeth has graced the stages of renowned institutions like Orchestra 914, Catskill Symphony Orchestra, Long Island Concert Orchestra, Park Avenue Chamber Symphony and more. Her journey has taken her to prestigious festivals, including concertmaster for the Eastern Music Festival, Le Domaine Forget in Canada, and The Next Festival of Emerging Artists.
As a highly sought-after soloist, Elizabeth has illuminated diverse stages, from New York Fashion Week to the Vidin Symphonic Orchestra in Bulgaria. She currently performs as a soloist for many upscale and luxurious events in the NYC area.
Her two EPs showcase her original compositions, featuring her mastery of both violin and piano. Notably, she composed the score for the short film "Attachment Theory," selected for the 2023 Peekskill Film Festival.
Elizabeth performs on a custom-made violin by luthier Vittorio Villa, complemented by her electric violin from NS Design.
Elizabeth currently serves as faculty at the Long Island Studio of Music.
